Pardon the sensationalist title (as it were). The reason there are no colours on page 43 today is because I am sick…though not of colour. On Tuesday last week (when page 42 posted) I had already begun to experience a bit of dizziness. This was followed by two days of weakness, achiness, stuffiness and a general inability to concentrate. Showing up to work was difficult enough, but drawing a straight line was nearly impossible. By Friday, I was feeling almost normal, and even though most of the page was still unpencilled, I was hopeful. That is until Saturday.

Over the weekend, the symptoms returned, though to a somewhat lesser degree. It was then that I gave this page up for lost. Almost. I decided I would just try and get as much done on this page as possible. I struggled this week, and this was the best I could do. I’m sorry. (And, of course, just when the comic is starting to get a little more attention and a few more hits per week.)

So, yes, my previously mentioned lead is gone, but not forever. It’s only three short weeks until the end of the school year (I teach full-time, by the way, in case you don’t read my blog on my main website: jmdesantis.com). Once the summer starts, I’ll have a lot more time to dedicate to Chadhiyana. In fact, I have a few changes and updates planned for the book. Those are coming soon, so stay tuned. I’ll colour page 43 as soon as time allows.
