They’re Back: Chadhiyana & Gentleman Cthulhu (but mostly Chadhiyana)

J. M. DeSantis's Chadhiyana & Gentleman Cthulhu are back!

It’s taken a while to get to this point, but finally there’s a new Chadhiyana comic, a short titled Chadhiyana: The Call of Fire and it’s free to read on chadhiyana.com! And although I didn’t plan it to line up this (near) perfectly, the new Gentleman Cthulhu artwork reveal comic is up on gentlemancthulhu.com today!

As I’ve written about before, I had taken a break from both projects, but intended to come back to them. Gentleman Cthulhu began his return with new comics posting since August of this year, and Chadhiyana will return in a new series next year through (my) Dark Fire Press (darkfirepress.com). And for you Chadhiyana fans, today’s post is mostly about the upcoming series.  Read more… ›

Happy Diwali 2019

Happy Diwali, Chadhiyana fans!

We know that there was a comic advertised as being available today (titled “The Call of Fire”) but the artist didn’t pull through. So J. M. DeSantis had to pick up art duties at the 11th hour. Our sincere apologies. But there’s great news today. Chadhiyana has a new publisher: Dark Fire Press! There are five new issues scheduled for release in 2020, starting with Chadhiyana: Re-Kindled (darkfirepress.com/chadhiyana/rekindled.php)Read more… ›

Coming Soon: News & Updates

Chadhiyana Firekeeper SymbolI know it’s been a long time since there’s been any real Chadhiyana updates, issues, or news (save for some teasing on Social Media). I am sincerely for the delays, and honestly all the responsibility of that rests with me, not Rosarium Publishing.

Many of you have contacted me and approached me at conventions about The Girl with the Fire Ringed Eyes, and I can assure you I have not left the series at all. In fact, I’ve been working hard on Chadhiyana behind the scenes, after taking a necessary break.

I’m planning to finally release some information about what’s been going on next month (March 2018) on this site, my website (jmdesantis.com) and my Patreon (patreon.com/jmdesantis), so please stay tuned. And as always, thank you for your interest and support of Chadhiyana.

All the Best,
J. M. DeSantis

Today is an exciting day for me, though (to be honest) it’s also a bit terrifying because today I’ve officially launched my new Patreon page!

For a long time now I’ve toyed with the idea of crowdfunding, drawn by its potential to help fund personal, independent projects. As it is, personal, independent projects have been a major part of my career as a writer and artist, yet I’ve never been certain if I could carry a campaign all on my own. But then, over a year ago, I became aware of Patreon. Read more… ›

Panel Podcasts from No Such Con

As promised, I’m sharing the podcasts of the artists and writers panels I was on during No Such Con this past weekend. I had a lot of fun at the show (which you can read about in Tuesday’s blog piece: jmdesantis.com/2017/02/no-such-con-2017-write-up/), and both panels were great to participate in. Thanks again to our moderator, author Thomm Quackenbush, for having me on them. Read more… ›

Sign Up for the Mailing List

At the end of this month (or at the very latest, the beginning of next month), I will be starting up a mailing list. At this point, with Chadhiyana, my new web-comic Gentleman Cthulhu (gentlemancthulhu.com) and my weekly blog (jmdesantis.com), never mind any forthcoming publications and projects, it’s starting to become necessary to have a central means of keeping fans up-to-date. This monthly newsletter is going to be an attempt (and hopefully a successful one at that) at keeping all of my fans in the know on everything that is coming out from me. Read more… ›

Thank You, Inbeon Con!

J. M. DeSantis Spiderman sketch coverIt’s been a summer of conventions (compared to what I’m used to): three in a row, in three different states. With Inbeon Con: Summer Edition this past weekend, my public appearances have ended until the New York Comic Con in October (though I am debating adding another show or two onto my schedule, before the end of the year). That said, Inbeon Con was a spectacular event, and I’m very glad my friend Eric Hutchison (owner of Inbeon Studios and host of the event) convinced me to do it.

Like a lot of shows I’ve been doing this year, Inbeon Con was much smaller than shows like New York Comic Con (well, really, what show isn’t smaller than NYCC?) or even Boston Comic Con. Though, I’m finding sometimes the smaller shows turn out to be a bigger success than the larger ones, especially one day shows as they tend to be the most intimate between the attendees and the exhibitors and there’s less competition at the show.
