Coming Soon: News & Updates

Chadhiyana Firekeeper SymbolI know it’s been a long time since there’s been any real Chadhiyana updates, issues, or news (save for some teasing on Social Media). I am sincerely for the delays, and honestly all the responsibility of that rests with me, not Rosarium Publishing.

Many of you have contacted me and approached me at conventions about The Girl with the Fire Ringed Eyes, and I can assure you I have not left the series at all. In fact, I’ve been working hard on Chadhiyana behind the scenes, after taking a necessary break.

I’m planning to finally release some information about what’s been going on next month (March 2018) on this site, my website (jmdesantis.com) and my Patreon (patreon.com/jmdesantis), so please stay tuned. And as always, thank you for your interest and support of Chadhiyana.

All the Best,
J. M. DeSantis
Creator of Chadhiyana

New Chadhiyana Artwork & an Upcoming Con

In support of the recent movements such as the Women’s March across the country (and the world) and the resistance of the Muslim and immigrant ban, as well as any movement going forward which seeks resist to exclusion or mistreatment based on race, sex, creed or culture, a new piece of Chadhiyana artwork has been created for personal and internet sharing. Chadhiyana: Resist (in two variations) can be downloaded below and used freely (please retain the copyright information). More, next month, I’ll be appearing at a convention (and speaking on a number of panels) in just a few short weeks. Read more… ›

Chadhiyana #5 Available for Review

Chadhiyana News
As I’ve been writing and hinting at for a couple of weeks now (or at least it feels so–on my regular blog on jmdesantis.com, that is), Chadhiyana #5 is going to be released relatively soon. It has been a long wait between issues 4 and 5, and I’ve made some mention of why that has been in the past–not least that my publisher, Rosarium Publishing, was doing some work behind the scenes that delayed the issue’s release (Rosarium is still a very small operation, despite their growth over the years). That said, my publisher and I think the wait just may be worth it, because we both agree this is by far the best issue of Chadhiyana yet. Read more… ›

Update on Chadhiyana #3

Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows News

The end of the year is fast approaching, and typically the last three weeks are planned out for an end-of-year reflection post, a Happy Holidays post, and a Happy New Years post (in that order)–on jmdesantis.com, that is, where I blog weekly. So that leaves this week as the last week of the year for any topic I choose, and I haven’t put out any information on the state or release of Chadhiyana #3. I don’t have any official news yet, but I will give you all a bit of something, rather than remaining silent until the first full week in January. Read more… ›

Sign Up for the Mailing List

At the end of this month (or at the very latest, the beginning of next month), I will be starting up a mailing list. At this point, with Chadhiyana, my new web-comic Gentleman Cthulhu (gentlemancthulhu.com) and my weekly blog (jmdesantis.com), never mind any forthcoming publications and projects, it’s starting to become necessary to have a central means of keeping fans up-to-date. This monthly newsletter is going to be an attempt (and hopefully a successful one at that) at keeping all of my fans in the know on everything that is coming out from me. Read more… ›

Thank You, Inbeon Con!

J. M. DeSantis Spiderman sketch coverIt’s been a summer of conventions (compared to what I’m used to): three in a row, in three different states. With Inbeon Con: Summer Edition this past weekend, my public appearances have ended until the New York Comic Con in October (though I am debating adding another show or two onto my schedule, before the end of the year). That said, Inbeon Con was a spectacular event, and I’m very glad my friend Eric Hutchison (owner of Inbeon Studios and host of the event) convinced me to do it.

Like a lot of shows I’ve been doing this year, Inbeon Con was much smaller than shows like New York Comic Con (well, really, what show isn’t smaller than NYCC?) or even Boston Comic Con. Though, I’m finding sometimes the smaller shows turn out to be a bigger success than the larger ones, especially one day shows as they tend to be the most intimate between the attendees and the exhibitors and there’s less competition at the show. Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows News

The wait is finally over! It’s time to celebrate! Today is the official release date for issue one of Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows!

Of course, if you follow this blog and my social media posts, you know that the book has been out for ten days already (on IndyPlanet.com and Amazon.com). Hopefully you’ve already purchased, read and enjoyed it. If you haven’t, today’s blog post is especially for you. Read more… ›

Just One Week Away

Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows News

This week and next week, my blog posts are coming a bit early (I usually post new blogs on Wednesday on jmdesantis.com and Tuesday on chadhiyana.com–though the latter may officially change), as next Monday, July 13th, is the “scheduled” release date for issue one of Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows. I put scheduled in quotations, because if you’ve been keeping up with the recent Chadhiyana news, you know that my publisher (Rosarium Publishing) is actually ahead of schedule with the book’s release. New Banner Art

In just twelve days, Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows issue one is scheduled to release through Rosarium Publishing (and again, pray there are no delays). It will be a fresh chance for new readers to be brought to the series and a chance for some of Chadhiyana’s older fans to relive the story as it began unfolding for over a year here on chadhiyana.com. With that and a series of three conventions in a row coming up toward the end of this month, I’ve been hard at work on preparing issues two and three and creating new artwork for my standing banner for conventions appearances–and Chadhiyana (of course) is included on the piece.
