It’s Monday morning (Tuesday for you, reader), and I’m back in the studio again for a week before I’m off to yet another convention. This Saturday is the Inbeon Con: Summer Edition (inbeoncon.com), and it will be my last con until New York Comic Con in October. (Again, sorry folks, I won’t be able to make Baltimore Comic-Con because of a wedding I’m in that weekend.) As a child growing up in New Jersey, the Mennen Arena was this vaguely referred to place where the WWE (then the WWF) would occasionally hold a house show. I never went there as a kid, but somehow I never forgot the name. So when the opportunity came up to attend an event there this past weekend, the little kid in me got just a little curious again. However, it wasn’t Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels headlining the event but rather names like Greg Hildebrant, Neal Adams, Mark McKenna and yours truly, J. M. In just twelve days, Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows issue one is scheduled to release through Rosarium Publishing (and again, pray there are no delays). It will be a fresh chance for new readers to be brought to the series and a chance for some of Chadhiyana’s older fans to relive the story as it began unfolding for over a year here on chadhiyana.com. With that and a series of three conventions in a row coming up toward the end of this month, I’ve been hard at work on preparing issues two and three and creating new artwork for my standing banner for conventions appearances–and Chadhiyana (of course) is included on the piece. This Saturday and Sunday I will be appearing in Artist Alley at Eternal Con for the first time ever! I’ve heard a lot of great things about this show, so hopefully the long (long) commute to Long Island will be worth it for me. It’s been a great convention season so far, and I’m only halfway through. I’m hoping for yet another successful show–especially with the replenished stock (since I was nearly cleaned out in White Plains) and the brand new items I’ll have on the table this weekend. The folks over at Rosarium Publishing have tentatively set the digital release date for the first issue of Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows for July 13, 2015. The announcement was made last week over social media. Now, with the date set and anticipation building for the first issue, Rosarium Publishing is seeking out reviewers for issue one.
