In just twelve days, Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows issue one is scheduled to release through Rosarium Publishing (and again, pray there are no delays). It will be a fresh chance for new readers to be brought to the series and a chance for some of Chadhiyana’s older fans to relive the story as it began unfolding for over a year here on chadhiyana.com. With that and a series of three conventions in a row coming up toward the end of this month, I’ve been hard at work on preparing issues two and three and creating new artwork for my standing banner for conventions appearances–and Chadhiyana (of course) is included on the piece. This Saturday and Sunday I will be appearing in Artist Alley at Eternal Con for the first time ever! I’ve heard a lot of great things about this show, so hopefully the long (long) commute to Long Island will be worth it for me. It’s been a great convention season so far, and I’m only halfway through. I’m hoping for yet another successful show–especially with the replenished stock (since I was nearly cleaned out in White Plains) and the brand new items I’ll have on the table this weekend. The folks over at Rosarium Publishing have tentatively set the digital release date for the first issue of Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows for July 13, 2015. The announcement was made last week over social media. Now, with the date set and anticipation building for the first issue, Rosarium Publishing is seeking out reviewers for issue one. Although I’ve forgotten to post about it here, if you’ve been checking my main website (jmdesantis.com) you probably know that this year I have a fairly large convention schedule, including the two past events, East Coast ComiCon and Bronx Heroes: Women in Comics Convention. As posted on his blog today (on jmdesantis.com), Chadhiyana creator, J. M. DeSantis will be attending the East Coast ComiCon on April 11 & 12, 2015. It is being held at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, New Jersey, and will J. M.’s first convention appearance in his native New Jersey. Just a quick reminder that I will be exhibiting in Artist Alley at the Baltimore Comic-Con this weekend (table A109). The convention beings on Friday, September 5th and will run until Sunday, September 7^th; however, I will only be attending the convention for two days: Saturday and Sunday. I will not be able to get down to Baltimore until late on September 5th, so I will not have my table set up that day (sorry to those folks who only have Friday tickets). Read more… ›
