The folks over at Rosarium Publishing have tentatively set the digital release date for the first issue of Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows for July 13, 2015. The announcement was made last week over social media. Now, with the date set and anticipation building for the first issue, Rosarium Publishing is seeking out reviewers for issue one. As posted on his blog today (on jmdesantis.com), Chadhiyana creator, J. M. DeSantis will be attending the East Coast ComiCon on April 11 & 12, 2015. It is being held at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, New Jersey, and will J. M.’s first convention appearance in his native New Jersey. Of course, on hand will be a number of Chadhiyana items and the chance to harass J. M. about the big news he’s been teasing about for so long (which likely will be announced by then). Read more… ›

Things have been a tad delayed concerning the forthcoming big news. I had hoped something would have been made official already, but sometimes things can get pushed back a bit. Happy New Year!

As stated in the previous blog post, 2015 promises to be a big year for Chadhiyana and me (J. M. DeSantis–Chadhiyana’s creator). A big announcement is coming this month!

As such, I have decided to suspend posting pages until the announcement is made. Please enjoy the currently available 72 pages of Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows for the time being, and keep checking back (or follow me on Twitter, Facebook or Google+). Great news is coming, so be patient just a little while longer. Stay tuned.

With page 72 posted so ends Chapter II of Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows. I know I’ve said it many times, over the past year, but this is only the beginning. There’s so much more to come in this graphic novel–as I’m sure you can see by the endings of the first two chapters. Plus there’s a lot more of Chadhiyana (the character) to come as she will increasingly take center stage in the story. A Happy (belated) Thanksgiving (to all who celebrate it)! It’s been a while since I’ve posted a new blog post on chadhiyana.com (though I am still posting weekly blog posts on jmdesantis.com). It’s been a while since I’ve been forced to post a half-finished page, but between the Thanksgiving holiday and feeling under the weather the past two days, this was the best I could muster. There’s a lot to announce this week concerning Chadhiyana, and even more to come in the coming months. Next month is the Baltimore Comic-Con (September 5-7, 2014), and amongst its many Artist Alley guests will be Chadhiyana creator, J. M. DeSantis. However, even before Baltimore is the Boston Comic Con this weekend (Friday through Sunday). Amongst the highlights of the convention are a panel on which J. M. DeSantis will be speaking (on Friday) and the release of a new edition of Chadhiyana.

This second edition of Chadhiyana (the first comic) features new cover art (by J. M. DeSantis), the new Chadhiyana logo (created by Corey Breen–which is now featured on the site, if you haven’t noticed), and the Prologue of Chadhiyana: In the Company of Shadows, as well as a new afterword by J. M. DeSantis. The reason for including the Prologue of the graphic novel was that the original book was too short (a mere 16 pages), however J. M. DeSantis did not want to include new content which would force previous buyers to re-purchase the same book just for new content. Plus, it would give new buyers an introduction to the graphic novel.
